Three years ago, the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops launched the National Eucharistic Revival. As the three year initiative culminates, a National Eucharistic Pilgrimage will start in Indianapolis on May 18th and end in Los Angeles. Eight perpetual pilgrims will travel with the Blessed Sacrament across the country, logging 3,340 miles and passing through 20 dioceses.
The Archdiocese of Los Angeles is welcoming the pilgrims to the West Coast, along with visitors from neighboring dioceses with several stops starting on Friday, June 20th at Mission Basilica San Buenaventura.
On Saturday, June 21st, the pilgrimage will come to Mission San Gabriel and finally, on Sunday, June 22, the Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ will be celebrated at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels will host the Corpus Christi Celebration following a eucharistic procession through downtown Los Angeles.
