Adult confirmation
The goal of the Adult Confirmation Preparation Process is to prepare active Catholic adults to receive the sacrament and to deepen their faith and the faith of the Parish Community.
ADULT CONFIRMATION 2025-2026
Registration for the 2025-2026 term begins May 13th through August 12th and are by appointment only. Please call 626-988-9288 to schedule an appointment. Remember to have copies of baptism and 1st communion certificates in order to register.
Classes will begin in September 2025 and conclude in January 2026. The session is approximately 17 weeks long and will cover a variety of topics. Classes will be held every Wednesday evening from 7:00 pm - 8:300 pm in Room 1/Helen's Room of the Parish Center. The sacrament of confirmation is conferred in May of 2026.
The sacrament fee is $100.00 , covers all materials (Bible, rosary, Catholic Handbook, robe rental), and can be made in payments if arranged with the Faith Formation Director.

Youth Confirmation
The goal of our Youth Confirmation Preparation Program is to prepare young people to receive the sacrament and deepen their Catholic faith.
San Gabriel Mission Youth Confirmation is a two year program (as required by the Los Angeles Archdiocese). This program is designed for high school aged teens (14-17 years of age). Typically, teens enter the ministry in their freshman year.
The sessions are held at the Parish Center from 10:30am-12:30pm on Sundays. Year 1 (C1) and Year 2 (C2) generally meet every other week. For example, C1 will meet on September 8th while C2 meets on September 22nd. San Gabriel Mission Youth Confirmation Program is a unique because we offer our C1 teens a weekend retreat (instead of a 1 day retreat).
